Bloom – The Golden Hour Dress
Bloom Collection · Skill level: Beginner +
Part of the Bloom Collection – my collection for spring's first blossoms and long summer days. Bloom – The Golden Hour Dress is a long, feminine dress knitted top-down in wool, merino, and viscose, with panels that build volume towards the hem. A flowing silhouette perfect for garden parties, summer weddings, and relaxed holidays.
Feminine. Flowing. Timeless.
Styling
Wear Bloom – The Golden Hour Dress with sandals on warm summer days, bare feet in the grass, or boots and a soft cardigan when the evening cools. Style it with the long belt for a defined waist or wear it loose for a more relaxed silhouette. The decorative flower can be attached to the dress, in your hair, or on a bag, adding a personal touch to the design.

The story behind the design
The Golden Hour is about those small moments when the light softens and everything seems a little calmer. The dress is designed to recreate that feeling through airy yarns, flowing panels, and a feminine silhouette that moves naturally with the body.
Bloom Collection
The Bloom Collection is CosyMonday's tribute to spring's first flowers, long summer days, and a wardrobe filled with light, feminine garments. The designs combine Scandinavian simplicity with romantic details and airy yarn qualities that create a timeless expression.
The collection is developed for those who want to create handmade favorites that feel as beautiful to wear as they are to knit.

Yarn & equipment
Recommended yarn combination
- Stratus (wool)
- Dinamo (merino)
- Dima (viscose)
Three different yarn qualities build the dress's characteristic look. The combination of matte wool, soft merino, and glossy viscose creates natural contrasts, subtle silk stripes, and beautiful depth throughout the garment.
You can also create your own unique yarn combination with leftover yarn from Garnspesialisten and give the dress a truly personal touch.
Needles & accessories
- Circular needle 6 mm – 40 cm
- Circular needle 6 mm – 80 cm
- Circular needle 6 mm – 100–120 cm
- Stitch markers
- Stitch holders
- Tapestry needle
- Measuring tape
Gauge
16 stitches × 19 rows = 10 × 10 cm on 6 mm needles.
Construction
The dress is knitted top-down with raglan increases. The sleeves are put on hold while the body is shaped with a slight waistline, before three characteristic panels gradually build volume and movement in the skirt. The finishing creates an elegant and flowing silhouette that follows the body without being heavy.
